Why use HTML tables on product pages?
Tables make specs like servings, sizes and nutrition easy for machines to pull out and compare.
When someone asks 'which has more protein per dollar,' a model needs numbers in a structure it can read. A spec table is boring to design and great for this. Put one on every product page.
Do this
- Pick five specs shoppers compare most.
- Add them as a real HTML table, not an image or a slider.
- Use the same table format across all SKUs.
