How do you check whether ChatGPT recommends you?

Ask the assistants the questions your buyers ask, record who shows up and repeat it on a schedule.

Start simple. Type 'best protein bar for runners' into ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and Google's AI Mode and write down who gets named. Answers change from run to run and person to person, so look at patterns over weeks, not one screenshot.

Do this

1. Write 20 real buyer prompts for your category.
2. Run them monthly in each assistant and log brands named and sources cited.
3. Track your share of mentions over time, not single answers.
